Health Advisor, Ihtisham Ali, visited the Hayatabad Medical Complex to inquire after the injured members of the Pashtun Qoumi Jirga. During his visit, Hospital Director, Dr. Shehzad Akbar, and Administration Director, Dr. Sher Zaman, accompanied him on a tour of the hospital’s various departments.
Ihtisham Ali met with the injured Jirga members admitted to different wards of the hospital, including those in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). He assured that all possible facilities are being provided to the patients free of charge .
The Health Advisor stated that Hayatabad Medical Complex and Jamrud Hospital are on high alert to provide medical treatment to participants of the Pashtun Jirga. Emergency medicines and medical staff are available 24/7 to ensure prompt care.
Preventative measures have been taken to safeguard against dengue fever, including spraying in and around the Jirga grounds. The District Health Officer (DHO) in Khyber has been instructed to provide initial medical aid to Jirga participants.
This visit demonstrates the government’s commitment to ensuring the well-being of Pashtun Jirga members and participants.
