Islamabad: Thirteen commercial plots of various categories were auctioned for Rs 16.641 billion during the three-day commercial land auction. On the last day of the auction, 7 plots were auctioned for 4.206 billion rupees. CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa visited Gandhara Citizen club and addressed the investors participating in the auction. He thanked the investors for participating in the auction. According to him, the participation of a large number of investors in the auction reflects their confidence in CDA. He said the proceeds from the auction will be used to provide facilities to all citizens including investors. CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa said the advantage of investing in CDA is that your money is spent for you. He said that investors should give their suggestions to CDA to make this city more beautiful and modern. He further stated that investors participating in the auction and CDA are real partners in the development of the city. The CDA chairman said that by adopting e-governance models, all the objectives are being successfully achieved. He said that the genuine problems of the investors will be resolved on priority. He said the organization will improve in light of inputs from the business community and investors. The auction was overseen by a committee headed by Finance member Tahir Naeem, whose secretary, Tabinda Tariq, is the Director of Property Management II. The auction was arranged by the Directorate of Property Management II. The committee has taken effective measures to make the auction process more transparent and ensure a competitive atmosphere. The CDA chairman congratulated the auction committee on a successful and transparent auction. During the three-day commercial land auction, various categories of commercial land were presented for investment in business centers including developed sectors of Islamabad. Lands of Class III malls including Blue Area, various malls, motels, apartments were also offered for auction. The tenders received will be submitted to the CDA Board after scrutiny, which is the competent forum to accept or reject the tenders.
