The only road connecting three districts is showing a scene of ruins at Khandakhoh, the only road of Lower Tanawol Tehsil of Abbottabad district that connects Mansehra district and Haripur district from Pohar, due to the inattention of public representatives, a practical example of archeology is visible. At Khandakhoh, even walking on the infamous road becomes difficult in case of light rain. Due to the presence of heavily loaded trucks and mining area, the road has been sliding for years and has sunk several feet below its surface.
Every year, it is made passable by pouring soil with our own help. Until now, the road has been completely useless for the past several months, on which various accidents have occurred to vehicles, during which the vehicle would get stuck there and the road for other coming and going vehicles would be completely blocked and sometimes the road would remain blocked for two days. But there is no mercy in anyone’s heart. The authorities should take steps to permanently resolve the above issue in view of the public suffering. Otherwise, the people of the area will be forced to take direct action, for which the entire responsibility will lie with the concerned officials.
