After the oath-taking ceremony, Masood Kahout was appointed as the District Secretary Information and Spokesperson of the Numberdar Association, Muhammad Hanif was designated as Vice President, and Gulab Roz was named Joint Secretary. The official announcement of their appointments was made by District President Chaudhry Shamsheer Ali Akbar.
Addressing the gathering, Chaudhry Shamsheer Ali Akbar emphasized that a Numberdar’s role can either bring people closer or push them away. He highlighted that Numberdars represent all segments of society and, therefore, bear great responsibilities. He urged them to perform their duties with integrity, ensuring that every individual in society receives their due rights without any discrimination. He particularly stressed the need to support the underprivileged to prevent feelings of deprivation. He reminded the attendees that being appointed as Numberdar is not just a position but a divine responsibility for which they will be held accountable.
Later, the newly appointed Secretary Information and Spokesperson, Masood Kahout, took charge of his role and, in his first address, stated that “Numberdari is not just a title; it is another name for responsibility.” He emphasized the need for Numberdars to proactively address people’s issues and personally visit their homes to resolve their problems.
Several other speakers also shared their thoughts and extended their congratulations and best wishes to the newly appointed office-bearers Masood Kahout, Muhammad Hanif, and Gulab Roz.
At the end of the meeting, District President Chaudhry Shamsheer Ali Akbar announced that a grand gathering of Numberdar Associations from all over Punjab would soon be organized in Chakwal.
