Lahore: Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Shehbaz Sharif, met with Mirza Ameen Jarral, President of PML-N Scotland and a prominent UK businessman. The two discussed international and national politics, along with economic development.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the role of overseas Pakistanis in the country’s economy, referring to them as a valuable asset. He stated that the government is actively promoting investment to ensure economic growth. Highlighting the collective efforts behind the country’s progress, he assured that fundamental issues are being addressed to improve the standard of living for the people. The Prime Minister reiterated his commitment to revolutionizing the education and health sectors, stating that comprehensive measures are being taken to steer the country towards prosperity.
“Our only focus is to make Pakistan a developed nation, and we are achieving success with time. This dream will soon become a reality,” said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
On this occasion, Mirza Ameen Jarral lauded the Prime Minister’s national services, particularly his efforts in stabilizing the country during challenging times and implementing key economic reforms. He assured that overseas Pakistanis stand with the government and acknowledged the positive impact of investment-friendly policies on economic stability.
Mirza Ameen Jarral also raised concerns regarding the health sector in Gujar Khan, emphasizing the urgent need for a trauma center to cater to the region’s large population. He pointed out that while the foundation for a trauma center was laid in the past, it lacked modern equipment and specialized doctors, leading to its merger with the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital. Due to this gap, critical patients are often referred to hospitals in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, resulting in long travel times and, in some cases, loss of lives.
In response, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing quality healthcare and education for all citizens. He assured that the Punjab government would consider the proposal for establishing a trauma center in Gujar Khan.
The meeting was also attended by the Prime Minister’s son, Suleman Shehbaz.
