Dhudial: District Police Officer Chakwal, Lieutenant (Retd.) Ahmad Mohiuddin, has released the performance report of Chakwal Police for the period from January 1, 2025, to January 31, 2025.
According to the spokesperson of Chakwal Police, during this period, operations were conducted across the district in accordance with the National Action Plan. As a result, 66 proclaimed offenders, 166 court absconders, and 71 individuals with prior criminal records were arrested and taken into custody.
Two criminal gangs, consisting of 12 members, were apprehended, and stolen property worth 9.03 million rupees was recovered and returned to the rightful owners. Drug dealers and illegal arms holders were also arrested, and contraband, including illicit weapons, was seized.
A rigorous crackdown against illegal arms possession led to 33 cases being registered, resulting in the recovery of:1 Kalashnikov,7 rifles,3 shotguns ,25 pistols,85 rounds of ammunition.
Following a zero-tolerance policy on drugs, Chakwal Police registered 29 cases and seized:
8.62 kg of hashish,1.022 kg of opium/heroin,2.40 kg of crystal meth (ice),
255 bottles of liquor
Strict actions were also taken against illegal tenants, leading to 7 cases being registered.
In the crackdown on kite flying, 1 case was registered, and 25 kites along with chemical-coated strings were seized, resulting in the suspects being taken into custody.
Additionally, 1 case was filed against an individual for possessing an illegal sound system.
In total, 529 cases were registered, and 252 suspects were arrested during this period.
