The Rawalpindi Bench of the High Court has granted bail to the car driver involved in the armed robbery that took place within the jurisdiction of Police Station City Chakwal.
On September 6, 2024, Zahid Sohail, accompanied by his uncle Muhammad Rafiq (Awan Engineering Dhudial), was traveling to Lahore for purchasing goods when three armed individuals stopped their car near Allied Park Bypass, Chakwal. The robbers snatched approximately 166 million rupees in cash from the uncle and nephew before fleeing.
The police had also arrested Allah Ditta, a resident of Jhaley, who was Zahid Awan’s driver, on suspicion of involvement in the case.
Today, Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan of the Rawalpindi Bench of the High Court heard Allah Ditta’s appeal and approved his bail. The case was defended by renowned lawyer Chaudhry Firdous Ahmed Advocate on behalf of Allah Ditta.
