SWAT: Federal Minister for of States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs Eng.Amir Muqam said that the negotiations were initiated by PTI and ended prematurely.He expressed these views while addressing lawyers at the Peshawar High Court Mingora Bench (Swat) on Monday and later answering media questions. President of the Peshawar High Court Mingora Bench Bar Association Shamsul Hadi Advocate and General Secretary Shah Faisal also spoke. PML-N leaders Qaimoos Khan, Wajid Ali Khan and Fazal Rehman No No were also present on the occasion. Engineer Amir Muqam said that there is no difference among the government allies and we wish that they complete the term together with the PPP and other allies. He said that negotiations with any country, including Afghanistan, are at the discretion of the federation and if the provinces talk about negotiations, there are fears of worsening the situation. He said that the PDM government had previously saved the country from bankruptcy in just 16 months by assuming power in difficult circumstances and during its tenure under the leadership of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the inflation rate has been reduced from 38 to 4 percent, while the interest rate has also been reduced to 13 percent by working day and night. He said that terrorism is a big challenge at present, but I want to give a clear message here that no military operation is being carried out in Malakand division like before and only targeted operations are being carried out as per routine. He said that at this time, the entire nation will have to be united by separating terrorism and politics because there is no room for more terrorism in Pakistan. Amir Muqam said that the role of lawyers is fundamental for building the country and strengthening democracy and we proudly say that Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal also gifted Pakistan to Muslims as lawyers. He said that we are grateful to the leadership of lawyers who played a positive role in the approval of the 26th Constitutional Amendment, which is commendable. Amir Muqam further said that judicial reforms and increasing the number of judges are the achievements of the current government and the demands of justice are being fulfilled through speedy trials of cases pending in the courts. He said that tax exemption is the fruit of the sacrifices of the people of the merged districts and I have always tried not to burden the people here.
