The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the Women’s ODI Team of the Year 2024, with no Pakistani player making the cut.
The squad features three players from England, two each from India, Australia, and South Africa, and one player each from the West Indies and Sri Lanka.
South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt has been named the captain of the team. Other players include Smriti Mandhana, Chamari Athapaththu, Hayley Matthews, Marizanne Kapp, Ashleigh Gardner, Annabel Sutherland, Amy Jones, Deepti Sharma, Sophie Ecclestone, and Kate Cross.
Earlier, the ICC had announced the Men’s ODI Team of the Year, which included three Pakistani players: Saim Ayub, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Haris Rauf.
