Punjab Health Care Commission has directed all private hospitals and laboratories to report HIV cases promptly.
According to the guidelines, private medical facilities are required to report confirmed and suspected HIV cases within 24 hours. The details must include both confirmed and suspected cases and should be submitted within the stipulated time.
Patients must be reported to designated HIV and AIDS treatment centers while ensuring their confidentiality. Access to patient data will be restricted to authorized officers.
Non-compliance with these directives will result in penalties, including the sealing of the medical facility.
