Chakwal: Chakwal police have arrested an accused Atif ul Hassan, son of Mukhtar Hussain, a resident of the Buchhal Kalan, who was a registered accused involved in various crimes. Hassan was nominated in drug trafficking, illegal possession of weapons and in other various cases.
According to police sources, Hassan was charged in two murder cases while multiple cases registered against him at Kallar Kahar, City Chakwal, and Sadar Chakwal police stations. Notably, 5kg of Drugs (Charas) was recovered from his possession in a case registered at Kallar Kahar Police Station.
Hassan had previously escaped from police custody on while being transported to jail, with the alleged involvement of police personnel. On which a case was registered against the accused and the involved police personnel.
After two years of being on the run, Hassan was re-arrested by Chakwal police yesterday, following the appointment of District Police Officer Chakwal Ahmed Mohiuddin.
