Tarbela Ghazi: The provincial leadership of the Pakistan United Workers Federation (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) has congratulated the newly elected cabinet of the United Municipal Workers Union on their victory in the WSSP Peshawar referendum, terming it a result of exemplary worker unity.
In a joint statement issued yesterday, the Provincial Chairman Aslam Adil, Provincial President Muhammad Iqbal Khan, and General Secretary Razam Khan extended their congratulations to the union’s Patron-in-Chief Naveed Ahmed, Chairman Bilal Ahmed, General Secretary Rizwan Khan, and other office-bearers on their significant triumph. They assured the newly elected cabinet of their full support.
The leaders emphasized that the recent success of the United Municipal Workers Union is a testament to unprecedented labor solidarity, for which they expressed their gratitude to all worker colleagues of WSSP.
It is worth mentioning that the WSSP Peshawar referendum witnessed a contest between the United Municipal Workers Union and the All Municipal Workers Union. The United Municipal Workers Union, contesting under the symbol of a lion, secured victory with a lead of 68 votes.
