ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday commended the Pakistan Navy for conducting a successful anti-narcotics operation in the North Arabian Sea.
During the operation, the Pakistan Naval Ship (PNS) Moawin seized a consignment of drugs worth around USD 1 million.
This is a very important milestone in the anti-drug campaign, the Prime Minister said in a press statement issued by the Government Office.
He said that the Pakistan Navy plays a central role in preventing drug smuggling in the country’s maritime defense and shipping lanes.
The nation is proud of Pakistan Navy personnel, the Prime Minister added.
