KHYBER: Rescue 1122 has responded 3261 various types of emergencies in across the Khyber.
This was said by the District emergency officer Shareq Riaz Khattak while revealing annual performance report of the Rescue 1122, Khyber last day.
He said that the district Rescue 1122 provided timely services in 3261 emergencies in addition with 1653 referral cases.
Sharing details of these emergencies, he said rescue teams responded to over 2494 medical emergencies and 343 traffic accidents.
He maintained that in the same way, the Rescue 112, Khyber supplied services in 51 fire incidents, 12 drowning incidents, 108 crime-related incidents, 12 cases of building and roof collapses, 07 incidents involving explosions, 234 recovery and other emergencies 5661 other emergencies were successfully tackled, provided medical aid to 4851 patients and transported them to different hospitals of the district.
A total of 167426 calls had been received out of that 164000 were drop ones and 165 calls were fake, report stated.
To create awareness, how to respond in emergencies, the training wing of the department organized free training sessions in schools, colleges and government offices, he added.
Shareq Riaz Khattak reaffirmed that the mission of Rescue 1122 is to protect lives and property, and the organization will continue to serve the public with the same dedication in the future.
