It has started snowing in Murree and Galiyat, attracting tourists to the scenic areas. The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) announced that it has completed arrangements to provide facilities and guidelines for visitors.
According to a PDMA spokesperson, rain and snowfall are expected to continue in Murree, Galiyat and surrounding areas till January 6. 13 Facilitation Centers have been set up in Murree to provide assistance and guidance.
PDMA Director General Irfan Ali Kathia urged tourists to check the weather before traveling to avoid unpleasant situations. He emphasized the preparedness of the administration and said officials are on call 24 hours a day to guide and protect visitors.
“The safety of tourists is our top priority. A sense of responsibility regarding weather conditions is essential to protect precious lives,” Kathia emphasized.
PDMA Helpline 1129 is available for immediate assistance in case of emergency. Tourists are advised to use this service and follow official guidelines to ensure a safe and memorable trip.
