Minister for Revenue and Estate Nazir Ahamd Abbasi convened a high-level meeting to address the issue of encroachments in Dera Ismail Khan. The meeting was attended by the Senior Member Board of Revenue (SMBR), Secretary Law, Commissioner DI Khan and other senior officials.
During the session, the Minister for Revenue and Estate empathized the government’s firm stance against illegal encroachments on public properties. He reiterated that no encroachment of any kind would be tolerated and stressed the importance of protecting government lands from unauthorized occupation.
Minister Nazir Ahmad abbasi emphasized that all government properties must be utilized for public benefit and administrative purposes, rather than being exploited by private entities. Nazir Ahmad Abbasi said that Government assets are meant for the welfare and development of the people. No individual or private group has the right to encroach upon or misuse these resources. He said that Zero Tolerance for Encroachments would be observed, Strict action is to be taken against individuals or entities found involved in encroaching upon government lands. Officials were directed to conduct a comprehensive survey of all government properties to identify unauthorized occupations. He further said that firm steps are to be taken to reclaim encroached lands and ensure their proper utilization for public pro properties. Relevant departments, including revenue, law, and local administration, were instructed to work collaboratively to expedite the anti-encroachment drive.
The Minister for Revenue and Estate also called for a transparent and accountable system to manage government properties and prevent future encroachments. He assured the public that the government is committed to safeguard public resources and using them for projects that directly benefit the community.
At the end the Minister directed the officials to submit a detailed report on the progress of anti-encroachment measures on 13 Jan 2025.
