Islamabad: The Anti-Terrorism Court (PTC) has indicted PTI leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur along with 12 other accused in the GHQ attack case.
During the trial, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur appeared in court and canceled the judge’s arrest warrant. PTI leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Shibli Faraz and several other accused were present.
The court indicted 14 people including Gandapur and adjourned the case till December 21.
The defendant denied the allegations. The accused include Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Shahriar Afridi, retired Colonel Shabbir Awan, Latif Satti, Umar Tanwer Butt, Shibli Faraz and Kanwal Shozeb.
In addition, Taimur Masood, Saad Ali Khan, Sikandar Zaib, Zohaib Afridi, Fahad Masood and Raja Nasir Mehmood were also accused. To date, 113 people have been charged in the GHQ attack.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Shahriar Afridi and Kanwal Shozeb filed an application under Section 265-D, which is scheduled to be heard by the ATC tomorrow.
The prime minister appointed lawyer Ghulam Hussnain Sanbali to the 12th trial and thanked the judge for canceling the arrest warrant.
