Islamabad: Fédération of Internationale Football Association (FIFA) has granted a two-month extension to the Pakistan Football Federation’s (PFF) Normalization Committee. The committee, headed by Haroon Malik, has been instructed to complete the electoral process within the extended timeframe, culminating on February 15, 2025.
According FIFA , the Normalization Committee’s original tenure expired on December 15, 2024. Following FIFA’s approval, the committee’s mandate has been extended by two months, allowing them to oversee the electoral process and ensure a smooth transition.
FIFA’s letter to the Normalization Committee emphasizes the need to complete the electoral process, make necessary amendments to the PFF constitution, and address appeals from disqualified departments by January 2025. The letter also mentions that the PFF Congress will be convened in January to finalize the constitutional amendments and electoral process.
The FIFA letter states, “The Normalization Committee is expected to complete the electoral process by February 15, 2025. This includes making necessary amendments to the PFF constitution, addressing appeals from disqualified departments, and convening the PFF Congress in January 2025.”
