Swabi: Women University Swabi has taken a significant step forward by establishing its first media studio through the collaboration of the Directorate of Public Relations and Publications and the Department of Journalism. The studio was inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mian Syed, who emphasized the importance of positive media coverage in distinguishing institutions and highlighted the vital role students play in this process.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor stated, “In today’s era, the nations that excel are those that utilize media effectively and positively.” Addressing the students, he stressed their critical responsibility in contributing to the betterment of society. He encouraged them to use media as a platform to highlight societal issues and drive positive change.
The event was attended by Registrar Dr. Raeesa, Finance In-charge Muhammad Hussain, Director Planning and Development Shafiullah Marwat, Associate Professor of Botany Dr. Muhammad Wahab, Deputy Director Administration Muhammad Tayyab, Deputy Registrar Muhammad Jabbar, and Additional Director of Public Relations and Publications, as well as Chairman of the Department of Journalism, A. Waseem Khattak.
Professor Dr. Mian Syed further remarked that Women University Swabi is marking a new chapter in the field of media education with the establishment of this studio. He noted that the studio would play a pivotal role in providing practical training to students, enhancing their skills, and enabling them to meet the demands of the modern era effectively.
