Dir Lower: The annual general body meeting of the Dir Officers Welfare Association was held at Malakand University, Chakdara.
In addition to the historical background of Dir and the annual report of the association, a poetry recital of Dir poets was held and awards were given to the position holder students of the Malakand Board.
The annual general body meeting of the Dir Officers Welfare Association was held at the conference hall of Malakand University, Chakdara. A large number of member officers participated in it, including professors, engineers, doctors and administrative heads of various departments and sectors belonging to the Pakistan Civil Services and HMS Group.The founder and patron of the association and senior ENT specialist Dr. Mohibullah Khan, (Dua) Association President and Chief Executive Paraplegic Center Peshawar Dr. Syed Muhammad Ilyas, Vice Chancellor of Malakand University Prof. Dr. Abdul Rashid, former Secretary Irrigation and Chief Executive Pedagogical Engineer Qazi Muhammad Naeem and former Dean and Chairman of Peshawar University Prof. Abdul Hameed Jan in their speeches said that serving the suffering humanity and helping the deserving at the level of officers is a source of divine pleasure. While this association has been working diligently for the past several decades to promote unity and brotherhood among officers, in addition to providing financial assistance to deserving patients who come to major hospitals in Peshawar from districts and districts for treatment and talented students who come to pursue education in professional colleges and universities. The good news is that so far the association has spent Rs. 2.3 million on scholarships for talented students and Rs. 2.4 million on health care for the poor and deserving. On this occasion, Dr. Karam Elahi presented a detailed report on the historical background of Dir and the welfare activities of the association, as well as a poetic prayer. Which was greatly appreciated. While a poetry recital by beloved poets of Dir was also held in the presence of Professor Dr. Abasin Yousafzai. Awards and cash prizes were also given to the position holders of Inter, Matriculation and Wafaq Madaris under the auspices of the Malakand Board.
