SWAT: . A policeman was sustained injured during an attack on Friday by unidentified persons on a police check post in Puran Tehsil of Shangla District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Regional police officer (RPO) Malakand Division Irfanullah Khan confirmed the incident and said that the attack was carried out on the police check post of Chawga Police Station in Shangla District. As a result Head Constable Sardar Jehan, in charge of the check post, was injured and the police retaliated vigorously and repelled the attackers.
The injured personnel, Sardar Jehan, was shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Puran and later to Saidu Teaching Hospital for immediate medical assistance. Where their condition is said to be out of danger.
It should be remembered that a few weeks ago there was an attack reported on the police post in the Yakh Tangay area of the same Puran Tehsil.
