ISLAMABAD: Awam Pakistan Party (APP) convener Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Sunday said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is responsible for the current situation in the country.
Expressing his thoughts, Abbasi said, “Fake cases should not be filed against the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
I also had to face baseless allegations and was put behind bars.” “Maulana Fazlur Rehman also has a demand to clear the air over the constitutional amendment,” he said. “It is the failure of the government that the masses are pouring into the streets for their rights,” Abbasi said. Talking about three-time prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Abbasi said, “Nawaz Sharif is also the supreme leader of PML-N.”
“All things should be clarified at the Diet,” he said. A few weeks ago, Abbasi emphasized the need for major reforms in the country.
The former prime minister told Samaa TV: “Right now the country is facing pressure at all levels. I said the polls will worsen the situation in the country.” He lamented: “Why hasn’t there been an agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to date?” Abbasi stated: “The pressure on the country’s economy and politics is increasing.
Are we not doing or thinking about what to do?” He said: “I would like to see a solution to the problems facing the country.”
