DAMBULLA: The Sri Lankan cricket team is set to welcome the West Indies in October for a bilateral series comprising three T20 Internationals and three One Day Internationals. The T20I series will begin on October 13 in Dambulla, with all three matches being played at the same venue. After the T20I series, the ODI series will be played in Kandy from October 20 to 26. Sri Lanka will enter the series buoyed by their recent successes, including an ODI series win over India, a Test match win against England at The Oval and a strong performance in the Test series against New Zealand. While facing their challenges in Test cricket, West Indies recently secured a 3-0 T20I series win over South Africa at home. In the ODI arena, both teams are level with West Indies holding a slight lead with 31 wins compared to Sri Lanka’s 30. In T20Is, Sri Lanka have a narrow advantage with eight wins to West Indies’ seven wins.
