ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Railways has decided to restore Sir Syed Express (35UP/36DN) between Karachi Cantonment and Rawalpindi from September 1 under Public Private Partnership (PPP).
Sir Syed Express (35UP) will leave Karachi at 21:00 via Hyderabad, Khanpur, Khanewal, Faisalabad, Sangla Hill, Wazirabad, Gujrat and Jhelum and then reach Rawalpindi at 20:55 the next day, official tod APP.
Similarly, he said that Sir Syed Express (36DN) will leave Rawalpindi at 1:30 PM and continue on the same route and reach Karachi at 1:50 PM the next day.
He said the train will include one AC Sleeper, one AC Business Class, one AC Standard Class, four Economy Class Coaches, Dining Car, Brake Van and Power Station.
The official said the planned stops include Drigh Road, Hyderabad, Rohri, Bahawalpur, Khanewal, Faisalabad, Sangla Hill, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Gujrat and Jhelum. Moreover, he said that on its way from Rawalpindi to Karachi, the train stops at Landhi station.
