RAWALPINDI: Bushra Bibi, wife of PTI founder Imran Khan, has filed an exemption claim of 190 million pounds.
During the hearing at Adiala Jail, the NAB ruled that the remaining 14 witnesses were not needed and discharged them, rendering moot the plea of the defense lawyers to summon these witnesses.
The PTI founder’s lawyer conducted a limited cross-examination of the NAB investigator.
The meeting was adjourned until tomorrow (Thursday). PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi were present in the court. The case was heard by Justice Nasir Javed Rana.
It should be noted that the judge in charge of the court which originally heard the £190m reference has been transferred.
District and Sessions Judge Nasir Javed Rana was appointed as Accountability Court No. 1 judge, while Accountability Court No. 2 Justice Muhammad Ali Warraich presided over the £190 million hearing at Adiala Jail earlier.
