ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Wednesday directed jail authorities to produce Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder chairman Imran Khan and vice-chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi through video link on September 7 in a vandalism case.
ATC judge Tahir Abbas Sipra was conducting the hearing of the vandalism case against Khan and Qureshi.
Justice Sipra asked about Qureshi’s whereabouts and whether he was a convicted prisoner, to which Qureshi’s lawyer replied that he was not a convicted prisoner and was languishing in Kot Lakhpat jail as a political prisoner.
Later, Justice Sipra adjourned the hearing to September 7 and directed the jail warden to present Khan and Qureshi through video link in the next hearing.
It should be noted that two cases of vandalism against Khan, Qureshi and PTI workers were registered at Khanna police station in Islamabad.
