Following an outstanding year for New Zealand, all-rounder Rachin Ravindra has secured a central contract from New Zealand Cricket for the 2024/2025 season.
Fast bowlers Ben Sears, Will O’Rourke, and Jacob Duffy are also included in the proposed 20-player contract list, while red-ball specialist spinner Ajaz Patel has been re-contracted after being left out in the previous cycle.
From last year’s contracted players, Kane Williamson, Lockie Ferguson, and Adam Milne have opted out of a central contract for the upcoming season.
Williamson, who stepped down as New Zealand’s white-ball captain after their T20 World Cup campaign, has accepted a casual playing contract for 2024-25, reaffirming his dedication to the team.
Furthermore, Blair Tickner did not receive a central contract, and Neil Wagner has retired, thus not featuring in the list.
