MARDAN: The Provincial General Secretary (GS) of the Markaze Tanzeem-e-Tajiran and President of Mardan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) Zahir Shah On Sunday has said that halal livelihood is a true worship and trade is a prophetic profession. Concrete steps should be taken to solve the problems of the merchant community. Electricity load-shedding and unreasonable taxes have made the life of the businessmen miserable, the people associated with the trade are very worried. The business community is the backbone of the country’s economy. He expressed these views while addressing the joining ceremony at Tajiran Malakand Chowk where he was the chief guest.
On this occasion, Tajiran Malakand Chowk President Abdul Rehman Khan, GS Zeeshan Khan,Haji Ameer Rehman, Deputy Secretary Farooq Shah, Information Secretary Abbas, Finance Secretary Abid Khan and others have announced to join (Zahirshah) Group. Congratulating the newly elected cabinet, Zahir Shah said that the central organization is the only platform.Where the problems of businessmen are being solved in real sense.
He said that at present the business community and industrialists are suffering from severe difficulties.Instead of imposing more taxes on the business class, the government should bring reforms in the tax network so that business can grow.
Markazi Tanzeem-e-Tajira General Secretary Waqar Ali Bacha, New Adda President Sahibzada Motorcycle Autos Association President Wajid Khan, General Secretary Tahir Khan, Nasir Lala, Kal Syed, Manzoor Khan, Khafez Sohail, Kashar Khan, Karim Dad and others were also present at the event. While addressing, he said that the government’s businessman-friendly scheme has become controversial before its implementation because doubts and misgivings have arisen among small businessmen about the scheme because the features of the scheme are not yet clear and the relevant stakeholders have not been taken into confidence. Zahir Shah has termed the government’s imposition of fixed tax on electricity consumers as illegal and unfair and demanded its immediate withdrawal.
