FAISALABAD: Two children died while seven people were burnt due to a laptop explosion in Batala Colony police area.
A spokesman for Rescue 1122 said on Wednesday that the children were using a laptop at a house in Mohallah Sharif Pura on Jalan Satiana.
Fire exploded around it and caused severe burns to nine people.
including Aslam’s wife Farhat, 45, son Makki Raza, 24, grandson Rehan Raza, 8, grandson Eman Fatima, 4, Nargas, 32, wife Muhammad Ahmed, son Muhammad Talha, 9 years old Muhammad Ibrahim, 3 years old. Dua Fatima’s daughter, 6, and Ali Raza’s wife is Rashida, 40 years old.
According to reports, Rescuers carried out 1122 rescue operations and brought the fire under control after heavy efforts, besides shifting the injured to Allied Hospital where Talha and her sister Dua Fatima were declared dead.
Meanwhile, District Police Officer Dr Muhammad Abid Khan saw the incident and ordered City Police Officer Kamran Adil to report the incident. He said, a special team has been formed under the supervision of SSP Investigation which has started collecting forensic evidence.
