Beijing: China’s State Councilor Shen Yiqin said special care is important for children to ensure they grow up healthy and happy.
Shen, chairman of the National Children’s and Women’s Work Committee under the State Council, spoke on Saturday at the International Children’s Day event at the China National Children’s Center.
While interacting with the children at the center, Shen urged them to set big goals and strive for overall development.
Shen called on governments at all levels to seriously implement the National Child Development Program and prioritize the work.
Shen also stressed efforts to guide children’s development and protect their rights and interests.
