SWAT: The employees of all government departments and Class IV employees took to the streets to protest organized by All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA) Swat, against the wrong decisions in the name of pension reforms and inappropriate increase in salaries
Among the protesters were All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA) Swat President Ali Rehman, All Pensioners Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) President Fazal Mabood Khan, Allied Health Professionals Association (Saidu Group of Teaching Hospitals) President Fazal Subhan, All Class iv employees. association Swat president Said Khitab, Paramedical Association Swat president Sher Muhammad Khan and other speakers said that the government does not pity on the poor employees despite the back-breaking inflation and cruel decisions were made regarding pensions in the name of reforms, they are not accepted in any case.
They rejected the mere 10% increase in the salaries of government employees in the budget by the provincial government as an open joke, and expressed regret that the rulers have increased their salaries by 300% and for the secretariat employees by 200%, while other employees have been ignored.
“The salaries of government employees should be increased by at least 100%,” they demanded, added that otherwise, there will be a lock-out strike in all government offices on Thursday, May 30.
They announced a set-in on Federal Budget Day, Friday, June 7, at D Chowk Islamabad at 11 am.
They clarified that our protest will continue till then, as long as the government does not accept the demands of the civil employees.
The speakers further said that we will raise our voices at every forum to claim our rights and no sacrifice will be spared for the approval of the demands.
