DUBAI: The ICC has announced the schedule of T20 World Cup 2024 warm-up matches to be held in USA and Trinidad and Tobago from Saturday, May 27 to June 1.
The matches will be played at Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Texas, Broward County Stadium in Florida, Queen’s Park Oval and Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago.
Pakistan and England will miss the warm-up matches as both teams are preparing for a four-match T20I series starting on May 22 and ending on May 30.
A total of 17 teams will take part in warm-up matches, including a home match against South Africa in Florida on May 29.
These fixtures of 20 overs per side will not have international T20 status, allowing the team to flexibly field all members of their 15-man squad.
In a change from the previous cycle, the team now has the opportunity to play two heats depending on the time of their arrival.
Among the highlights is the match between the West Indies and Australia at the Queen’s Park Oval, Trinidad and Tobago, which will open to fans on Thursday, May 30.
