China launched Long March-4C rocket on Sunday, putting new satellite into space.
The rocket blasted off from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China at 7:43 a.m. Beijing time, sending the Shiyan-23 satellite into its primary orbit.
Shiyan means “trial” in Chinese. The Shiyan-23 satellite will be used to monitor the space environment.
It was the 522nd flight mission of the Long March rocket series, according to the launch center.
