Rawalpindi — Nine militants linked to the Indian proxy network Fitna Al Khwarij were killed in two intelligence-based operations carried out by Pakistan’s security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.
The first operation was conducted in Tank district following reports of militant presence. Security forces engaged the identified location, and after an intense exchange of fire, seven militants were killed.

Second Engagement Neutralises Militants in Lakki Marwat

In a separate intelligence-based operation in Lakki Marwat district, security forces killed two additional militants during another fire exchange.
The ISPR said weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain individuals, who were involved in multiple terrorist attacks targeting security personnel, law enforcement agencies, and civilians.

Sanitisation Efforts Continue Under ‘Azm-e-Istehkam’

According to the ISPR, sanitisation operations are underway to eliminate any remaining Indian-sponsored militants in the region.
The statement reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue their counterterrorism campaign under the national strategy Azm-e-Istehkam,” approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan.
The resolve, ISPR added, is to eradicate all forms of foreign-sponsored terrorism and ensure lasting peace across the country.
