Abu Dhabi is preparing to host one of the year’s most significant artificial intelligence gatherings, as Machines Can Think 2026 launches on 26–27 January at Park Hyatt Saadiyat. The summit, organised by Polynome, is positioned as a flagship event for AI adopters and will bring together leading researchers, executives, and innovators from across the world.
The programme will feature more than 50 keynote sessions, over 10 workshops, and interactive demo zones designed to highlight breakthrough technologies. Partners include the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI), which is contributing to the event’s focus on advancing real‑world applications of AI. The summit aligns with the UAE’s national AI strategy and reflects the country’s ambition to strengthen its role as a global hub for innovation.
Diverse Tracks and Key Themes
Machines Can Think 2026 will run across three dedicated tracks — co‑evolution, tech, and C‑Level — covering the human–AI interface, technical advances, and executive strategies for responsible adoption. Highlights include sessions on building a national AI fabric, foundation models, AI for life sciences, and computer vision under the theme “Machines Can See and Act.”
Global Leaders and Industry Voices
Speakers include Michal Valko, chief models officer at a Stealth AI Startup; Manohar Paluri, VP of AI at Meta; Andrey Doronichev, CEO of Optic; Marc Hamilton, VP at NVIDIA; and Serge Belongie, director of the Pioneer Centre for AI. They will be joined by other international experts shaping the future of intelligent industries.
Alexander Khanin, founder and CEO of Polynome.ai, said the Machines Can Think 2026 summit reflects the UAE’s growing influence in AI. “Machines Can Summits have become a catalyst for dialogue between creators and decision‑makers. Our mission is to turn potential into tangible progress, helping industries and nations build sustainable, intelligent systems,” he noted.
Ivan Laptev, professor of computer vision at MBZUAI, added that the Machines Can Think 2026 underscores Abu Dhabi’s momentum in advanced AI research. “This summit provides a valuable platform to share work, deepen collaboration, and contribute to the UAE’s emergence as a hub for the international AI community,” he said.
Expanding the Machines Can Summits Series
Machines Can Think 2026 is part of the broader Machines Can Summits series, which last year drew thousands of participants from dozens of countries. The 2026 edition will expand further, with two flagship events: Machines Can Think in Abu Dhabi and Machines Can See in Dubai. A dedicated panel with Women in AI will also highlight inclusion and diversity in the global AI ecosystem.
