Islamabad : The Federal Ombudsperson for Protection Against Harassment (FOSPAH), Government of Pakistan, Ms. Fauzia Viqar, visited the Head Office of Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) in Islamabad today. She was warmly received by Mr. Tahir Yaqoob Bhatti, President/CEO ZTBL. As part of the visit, an awareness seminar on the Protection against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act, 2010 was jointly organized by ZTBL and FOSPAH. The session was attended by ZTBL employees, including senior management and staff working in the branches across the country both face to face and virtually via Zoom ensuring broad participation.
Keynote Address Highlights Importance of Safe Workplaces
Ms. Fauzia Viqar delivered the keynote address, highlighting the significance of creating safe, respectful, and inclusive work environments. The President/CEO ZTBL also addressed the participants, reiterating the Bank’s commitment to upholding the principles of workplace dignity and zero tolerance for harassment.
Detailed Briefings on Workplace Harassment Laws
The seminar featured detailed briefings on the Workplace Act, 2010 by Mr. Waqar Ahmed, Assistant Registrar, FOSPAH who as the principal speaker, along with Ms. Momina Asif, Communications Officer, FOSPAH. They elaborated on the legal framework, reporting mechanism and institutional responsibilities associated with the Act.

A dedicated Q&A session allowed employees to seek clarifications and engage directly with the speakers.
