Amid the global shift towards renewable energy, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif recently announced the distribution of 50,000 solar panels in the province under the Prime Minister’s Roshan Gharana program.
With a budget outlay of $12.6 billion, it will provide solar systems through Phase 1 voice to 50,000 protected consumers using 100 units per month.
Other customers in Punjab will gradually be provided with home solar systems. The solar system will include home power, inverters, batteries, and related equipment.
Selection Criteria
Below are the standard requirements for the Punjab Roshan Gharana Scheme 2024,
Must be a citizen of Pakistan.
Must have CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card).
You must own the property or get permission from the property owner to install solar panels.
