SWAT: Plantation campaign was started to reduce the effects of climate change, with the cooperation of the Pakistan Army and Forest Department, One-million saplings will be planted in Swat District and Ten-thousand saplings in Malam Jabba Valley.
In order to realize the dream of a green Pakistan, a spring tree planting campaign has been started in Swat district. where saplings were planted under the management of Samsons Group with the cooperation of Pakistan Army and Forest Department
“Brigadier Sajid of the Pakistan Army inaugurated the campaign, while Civil administration, police officials, tourists and school children participated in this campaign and saplings were planted.”
District Forest Officer (DFO) Swat Waseem Khan while talking to the media on this occasion said that the only solution to climate change is that we plant more trees, added that the spring planting campaign could not be started due to less rains in March and now since the rains have occurred in the month of April, the campaign has been started.” he said.
He further said that our target is to plant One-million saplings during this year’s plantation campaign in Swat district, while Ten-thousand saplings will be planted in Malam Jabba valley.
The Media Coordinator of Malam Jabba Ski Resort, Waheedullah Qarar, said that there are big problems due to climate change all over the world and the result of which is in front of us in the form of untimely rains.
“In order to control this problem, emphasis is being placed on planting trees all over the world and today’s ceremony is also a part of it for this purpose, added that Samsons Group of Companies is also trying to prevent environmental changes and is trying to increase the forests by planting more trees in this area,”he further said.
“The participants of the event appealed to the citizens to pay attention to planting as many plants and trees as possible wherever they can, so that the efforts to deal with climate challenges can be successful.”
