Lahore, October 21, 2025 — The Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), also known as CBD Punjab, has reached a major milestone in the development of Pakistan’s largest IT city, CBD NSIT City, by initiating the asphaltic base course. This marks a pivotal step in building the country’s most advanced tech-driven urban center.
First Asphalt Layer Signals Infrastructure Breakthrough
In the initial phase, CBD Punjab successfully laid 250 tons of asphalt, covering approximately 15,000 square feet over a 300-foot stretch. This progress reflects the authority’s strategic execution plan focused on delivering high-quality infrastructure aligned with global standards.
Circular Road Network and ICT Backbone Underway
CBD Punjab is actively developing a circular road network within Pakistan’s largest IT city, featuring 250 ft, 220 ft, 150 ft, and 100 ft wide roads. These are designed to ensure seamless mobility and connectivity across the city. Simultaneously, drainage systems and ICT infrastructure are progressing on schedule, reinforcing the city’s smart and sustainable design.
CEO Imran Amin: “Turning Vision into Reality”
Commenting on the achievement, CEO CBD Punjab Imran Amin stated, “The initiation of asphaltic base course at CBD NSIT City marks an important step toward transforming this visionary project into reality. Our focus remains on delivering sustainable and world-class infrastructure that will position Pakistan’s largest IT city as the technological nucleus of the nation.”
A New Era for Urban Innovation
CBD Punjab continues to reshape Punjab’s urban landscape through bold development initiatives. With CBD NSIT City, the authority is not only laying roads—it’s laying the foundation for a future defined by innovation, connectivity, and economic opportunity.
