DUBAI/ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) Group, comprising PTCL and Ufone 4G, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CEQUENS, a global customer engagement solutions provider, to introduce Communication Platform as a Service (CPaaS) for enterprises across Pakistan. The agreement was formalized at GITEX Global 2025 in Dubai.
The MoU was signed by Asif Ahmad, Group Chief Business Solutions Officer at PTCL & Ufone 4G, and Nermeen Sobhy, Senior Vice President of Carrier Relations and Wholesale at CEQUENS. The signing ceremony was attended by Group Chief Commercial Officer of PTCL & Ufone 4G, Syed Atif Raza, and CEQUENS CEO, Karim Khorshed, along with senior management representatives from both sides.
The partnership aims to empower businesses with a unified suite of communication tools, allowing seamless engagement with customers through SMS, voice, WhatsApp, and other digital channels. Combining CEQUENS’ international experience with PTCL Group’s extensive local reach, the collaboration seeks to enhance customer engagement, strengthen market presence, and accelerate digital transformation across Pakistan’s enterprise sector.
Speaking on the occasion, Asif Ahmad said that the partnership marks an important step in PTCL Group’s evolution as a digital enabler for businesses in Pakistan. “With CPaaS, we are providing enterprises with scalable and innovative communication solutions that will redefine customer engagement. PTCL continues to invest in digital infrastructure to fast-track digitalization for sustainable growth,” he added.
Nermeen Sobhy expressed pride in joining hands with PTCL to bring CEQUENS’ CPaaS solutions to Pakistani businesses. “Our platform enables enterprises to deliver consistent, omnichannel customer experiences across various touchpoints, enhancing responsiveness, personalization, and service quality,” she noted.
