LAHORE — The Hashoo School of Hospitality Management (HSHM) hosted an interactive session to honor four students chosen to represent Pakistan for the first time at the prestigious Future Leaders Challenge 2026, scheduled to take place in Dubai from February 9–12.
The Future Leaders Challenge is a global competition that brings together hospitality students from leading institutions to tackle real-world industry challenges through innovation, leadership, and collaboration. HSHM’s debut in the international forum marks a significant milestone for hospitality education in Pakistan.
The session began with an introduction to FLC by HSHM’s Director of Education, Mr. Faisal Naeem, who outlined the selection process and the competition’s global relevance. The selected students — Miss Anaya Khurram (Muzaffarabad, AJK), Miss Ayoon Ijaz (Lahore), Mr. Rafay Ahmad (Swat), and Mr. Abdullah Alam Khan (Mirpur, AJK) — introduced themselves to an audience that included hospitality industry leaders and academic figures.
Distinguished guests included Mr. Azam Jamil, Advisor for Education to the CEO of Hashoo Group; Mr. Haseeb Gardezi, Executive Director Education; Mr. Zaeem Yaqoo; and Dr. Umar from BNU. They engaged with the students, offering encouragement and sharing professional insights.
Out of 26 entries from HSHM’s four campuses, 14 were shortlisted, and four finalists were selected through a rigorous evaluation process. The team will now undergo structured mentorship and training under Mr. Azam Jamil and HSHM faculty to prepare for the global finals.
“This is a defining moment for hospitality education in Pakistan,” said Mr. Azam Jamil. “These young individuals are not only competing on a global stage but also carrying the promise of a new era of professionalism and pride in our country’s hospitality industry.”
Mr. Haseeb Gardezi added, “As you represent HSHM internationally, remember—you are carrying the values of excellence, respect, and integrity that define Hashoo Group’s legacy.”
The event concluded with a collective expression of pride from Hashoo Group’s academic leadership, reaffirming its commitment to experiential learning and international exposure. HSHM’s participation in Future Leaders Challenge 2026 reflects its vision to empower future professionals who will shape Pakistan’s service industry.
