Islamabad — In a strategic move to boost investment in Islamabad, Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa met with a delegation from Saudi Arabia’s GO ARAMCO to explore joint ventures across the capital. The meeting, held at CDA headquarters, included senior officials such as Member Planning and Design Dr. Khalid Hafiz, Member Finance Tahir Naeem, and Deputy Director General Resource.

Chairman Randhawa emphasized that CDA is actively pursuing a Joint Venture model to attract foreign investment and create sustainable revenue streams. He noted that all projects are being executed in accordance with PPRA regulations, with transparency and merit as core principles. The ARAMCO delegation was briefed on several upcoming initiatives, including opportunities to establish petrol pumps at designated sites. Randhawa highlighted that Islamabad offers prime locations for energy infrastructure, and CDA is seeking strategic partners to accelerate development.

A key highlight was the presentation of a state-of-the-art slaughterhouse project. The feasibility study has been completed, and the facility aims to support meat exports while meeting domestic demand. This initiative reflects CDA’s broader vision to position Islamabad as a hub for export-oriented agribusiness and food processing.

Special teams from both sides are now collaborating to initiate practical steps toward cooperation. Randhawa reiterated that CDA is working tirelessly to deliver high-quality services to citizens and unlock new avenues for investment in Islamabad. He stressed the importance of private sector participation in driving innovation, efficiency, and long-term growth.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to advancing bilateral collaboration. As Islamabad continues to evolve, partnerships like these are expected to play a pivotal role in shaping its future — from infrastructure and energy to food security and urban planning.
