The Angoor Adda Border Terminal in South Waziristan is now operational, delivering a major boost to regional trade and tribal development. Completed by the National Logistics Corporation (NLC) in just 30 days, the terminal fulfills a long-standing demand of local tribes and sets a new benchmark for rapid infrastructure delivery.
Despite severe terrain challenges, NLC mobilized local skilled workers and completed the project on time. The terminal includes modern facilities, a digital management system, and offices for Customs, FIA, Plant Protection, and other departments. Additionally, it offers residential accommodations for staff, enabling continuous operations.
Thanks to this strategic development, local produce from South Waziristan can now reach Afghanistan and other regional markets through shorter, more efficient routes. As a result, transportation costs will drop, export volumes will rise, and tribal farmers will gain better income opportunities.
Moreover, the terminal strengthens Pakistan’s cross-border logistics and integrates tribal economies into regional supply chains. It creates jobs, promotes social development, and enhances connectivity across the region.
Importantly, this achievement reflects NLC’s commitment to national progress and its ability to deliver under pressure. With trade flows increasing, the Angoor Adda Border Terminal will uplift communities and foster long-term economic resilience.
In short, the terminal is more than a checkpoint—it’s a gateway to prosperity. It symbolizes collaboration, speed, and the promise of a better future for South Waziristan.
