Pakistan's stance on Palestine

Pakistan’s stance on Palestine remains rooted in principle, history, and unwavering solidarity. In the face of shifting global narratives and mounting political pressure, Pakistan continues to advocate for the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination. The country consistently asserts that an independent Palestinian state must follow the 1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital. Pakistan has never recognized Israel—not in the past, not today, and not in the future—until Palestinians receive their legitimate rights.

Earlier this week, President Donald Trump announced a 21-point peace agreement that reshaped diplomatic conversations. In direct response, Pakistan supported the initiative, joining a unified Islamic front that includes Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey, Qatar, the UAE, Iran, Malaysia, Indonesia, and others. Through this alliance, Pakistan reinforced its stance on Palestine and emphasized its commitment to regional peace.

At the same time, the peace plan gained traction among key stakeholders. The majority of Hamas and Palestinian leadership endorsed the agreement, making it acceptable to the Palestinian people. As a result, this marks a pivotal milestone. A clear roadmap for Palestinian statehood has emerged—one that, God willing, will lay the foundation for lasting peace and sovereignty.

Pakistan’s endorsement is not a shift in policy but rather a continuation of its historical position. By backing the agreement, the Prime Minister reaffirmed a strategic and humanitarian effort to prevent further bloodshed in Gaza and to advance a practical framework for Palestinian independence. In doing so, Pakistan’s stance on Palestine remains both principled and pragmatic.

Nevertheless, certain political elements attempted to distort this moment. They falsely claimed that Pakistan planned to recognize Israel. These narratives aimed to fracture national unity and misrepresent Pakistan’s position. In response, the government categorically rejected these claims and reaffirmed its commitment to the Palestinian cause.

Meanwhile, critics of the peace agreement must confront reality. What have they done to address the martyrdom of over fifty thousand Muslims and the suffering of millions? If peace remains elusive, do they offer actionable solutions to stop the daily deaths? Clearly, empty rhetoric cannot replace a responsible strategy.

Because of Pakistan’s support, the Muslim world has united and achieved historic progress. This alignment strengthens the foundation for an independent Palestinian state. Pakistan’s stance on Palestine does not favor Israel—it supports justice for Palestine. Despite false propaganda, Pakistan continues to stand with the Palestinian people and will do so without compromise.
