Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations, visited Punjab University Lahore. He was warmly welcomed by the university administration, faculty, and students. The DG ISPR Punjab University visit sparked a wave of patriotism and clarity among participants. During a special session, DG ISPR engaged directly with male and female students, addressing questions on youth engagement, national defense, and countering disinformation.

As the session progressed, students voiced strong support for the Pakistan Army. They pledged to stand shoulder to shoulder in defense of the motherland. Moreover, many praised the armed forces for their sacrifices and achievements, especially in safeguarding national sovereignty and defeating external threats.

In addition to the student interaction, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif met Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad and senior faculty members. The academic leadership commended the Pakistan Army’s role in maintaining national stability and promoting unity across diverse communities. Furthermore, they emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between educational institutions and the military.

Participants noted that open dialogue helped dispel doubts caused by negative propaganda. “In conversation with DG ISPR, we gained awareness about disinformation and fake news,” said one student. Faculty members agreed that such sessions are essential for building informed perspectives and strengthening national cohesion.

Notably, attendees stressed that teachers and students will always stand with the Pakistan Army. They viewed the session not only as informative but also as a vital step toward bridging gaps and fostering mutual respect.

The session also encouraged students to explore careers in national service, media literacy, and strategic communication.

Ultimately, the DG ISPR Punjab University visit highlighted the value of direct communication with youth. By encouraging open discussion, promoting critical thinking, and reinforcing shared values, the session strengthened trust and national solidarity. As misinformation continues to challenge public perception, campus outreach remains crucial to shaping a resilient and united future.
