SHANGLA (Aftab Hussain): District & Sessions Judge of Shangla, Mumtaz Khan Khalil, chaired the first meeting of the Civil Administration Coordination Committee at the District Magistrate’s office. The Deputy Commissioner, District Police Officer, and department heads also joined the session.
The meeting focused on improving civil services, promoting transparency, and resolving public complaints quickly. This initiative followed the Ordinance issued on September 15, 2025, under Chapter 10 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and Section 293-B. Officials discussed the challenges in service delivery and agreed to take practical steps for improvement.
They decided to eliminate unnecessary delays in government matters by introducing a clear decision-making system. They also pledged to use district resources more effectively for public welfare. The participants stressed that facilities must be managed with accountability and fairness.
Officials agreed to create a fast and coordinated complaint redressal system. They emphasized stronger communication between institutions and joint action on urgent issues. Working groups, supervised by the Deputy Commissioner, will also ensure better service delivery. Another key decision was to activate the Alternative Dispute Resolution Act 2020. The judge urged officials to promote peaceful settlements and reduce the load on courts.
During the discussion, officials highlighted several challenges. They pointed to poor facilities, uneven resource distribution, and delays in handling complaints. They agreed that close cooperation between all departments was the only way to overcome these problems.
The formation of the Civil Administration Coordination Committee in Shangla marks a significant step toward transparent and accountable governance. Authorities believe the new system will deliver services more quickly and resolve citizen issues without unnecessary delays.
