Peshawar (Junaid Toru): The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will hold an open court on Thursday, September 25, 2025, to address NAB corruption complaints and misuse of authority. Director General Farmanullah will personally hear cases at the NAB regional office in PDA Complex, Phase 5, Hayatabad.
Senior bureau officials will assist in reviewing complaints and guiding citizens through the process. NAB encourages the public to report misuse of public funds, embezzlement of government resources, illegal asset accumulation, irregularities in contracts, and fraud in housing or cooperative societies. The bureau will also take up large-scale scams involving financial deception.
Under the National Accountability Ordinance 1999, NAB investigates cases where embezzlement exceeds Rs500 million or affects at least 100 victims. Citizens must bring a written application, a copy of their CNIC, an affidavit from NAB’s website, and initial supporting documents.
DG Farmanullah emphasized transparency and swift action. He assured that NAB would thoroughly examine each corruption complaint and pursue legal proceedings against those found guilty. He also urged citizens to participate actively and help strengthen accountability mechanisms.
To improve access, NAB KP has streamlined its complaint registration process. Officials will provide on-site guidance and ensure that each submission receives proper attention. The bureau aims to restore public trust by acting decisively against corruption.
In addition, NAB plans to publish a post-court summary highlighting key cases and actions taken. This will reinforce public confidence and demonstrate institutional responsiveness. The bureau also intends to expand outreach efforts in other districts to encourage wider participation.
This open court initiative reflects NAB’s commitment to public engagement and institutional integrity. By encouraging direct reporting of NAB corruption complaints, the bureau seeks to empower citizens and reinforce its mandate under national law.
