The PMAS-AAUR Attock Orientation introduced a new academic journey for students in the region. Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) held the event at its Sub-Campus, Attock. The purpose was to welcome new students, provide essential information, and highlight the university’s mission of academic excellence and innovation.
PMAS-AAUR organized the orientation session to guide newly admitted students. They learned about academic programs, campus resources, university rules, and student support services. Moreover, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman, along with the Registrar, Deans, Directors, and Principal Officers, led the event.
While addressing students, Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman said, “We are delighted to welcome you to one of the leading universities in Pakistan. Our goal is to ignite your passion for learning and to create an environment that fosters innovation and personal growth.” He also expressed gratitude to the Chancellor, the Government of Punjab, and the District Administration of Attock for their strong support. Furthermore, he reaffirmed the university’s commitment to modern facilities, inclusivity, and student success.
In addition, the Registrar, Deans, Directors, and Principal Officers shared faculty-specific details. They also explained university policies and support structures. To ensure a smooth transition, the university arranged information desks in all faculties and institutes. Faculty and administrative staff guided students, answered questions, and provided one-on-one assistance throughout the session.
The local community appreciated the initiative of Arid University. They noted that the Sub-Campus now allows Attock students to pursue higher education close to home. Therefore, it saves resources and strengthens local opportunities.
