Major General Humaid Mohammed Abdullah Alremeithi, Commander of the UAE Naval Forces, called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu at Air Headquarters, Islamabad. The meeting focused on regional security. Both sides also explored new opportunities for cooperation through joint training and enhanced military-to-military engagement.
Air Chief Marshal Sidhu shared his vision of making the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) modern and agile. He mentioned upgrades in cyber, space, artificial intelligence, electronic warfare, and aerospace. He also highlighted the strong religious and historical ties between Pakistan and the UAE. The Air Chief reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to expand defence cooperation, especially in training and joint exercises.
The UAE Commander thanked PAF for the warm welcome and hospitality. He praised PAF’s indigenization efforts and homegrown capabilities. He said these make PAF one of the most advanced and operationally prepared air forces in the region.
He also expressed UAE’s interest in learning from PAF’s operational experience in multi-domain warfare. He stressed that PAF’s combat doctrine and tested framework are valuable for regional and global partners. The Commander conveyed UAE’s strong wish to conduct joint exercises with PAF. He emphasized that these would improve mutual learning, operational synergy, and interoperability. He also revealed that the UAE Air Force is eager to join training programs in Pakistan. He called this a vital step to strengthen the brotherly relations of both nations.
The meeting ended with both armed forces reaffirming their resolve to work together on common challenges. It also showed their shared desire to strengthen bilateral defence and military ties.
