Latest research and advances in cancer treatment highlighted
LAHORE, August 23 (APP): An international conference titled “Best of ASCO 2025” was organized under the auspices of Himmel Pharmaceuticals and the Society of Medical Oncology Pakistan, where the latest global research and advancements in cancer treatment were discussed. The conference placed special focus on artificial intelligence, precision oncology, immunotherapy, and cutting-edge treatment modalities for cancer.
President of Pakistan Meetings, Professor Syed Najeeb Nematullah, in his inaugural address, said it was a great honor for Pakistan to host a conference of such international standards.
He stated that this event was not just a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration but also a milestone in bringing global advancements in cancer treatment to Pakistan.
Professor Nematullah emphasized that the conference would contribute to providing better treatment facilities for cancer patients and enable young doctors to benefit from international expertise.
According to him, such academic gatherings will serve as milestones in further developing the healthcare sector.
Experts at the conference highlighted the latest research on immunotherapy, precision oncology, and modern strategies for cancer treatment.
On this occasion, a special Oncology Jeopardy Session was also organized for young oncologists, which was described as an excellent opportunity for showcasing knowledge and skills.
